Regular Show: The Movie

Regular Show: The Movie follows Mordecai and Rigby, two park groundskeepers whose mishandling of a high school science experiment tears a hole in time. To repair the damage and prevent the universe from coming apart, they travel into the past, where a vengeful former volleyball coach, Mr. Ross, stands in their way. Their friendship is tested as the two try to set things right. The film is based on the animated television series Regular Show, and the story involves both the park crew and a version of events reaching far into the future.

J.G. Quintel directed and co-wrote the screenplay with Sean Szeles, with Ryan Slater producing. Quintel also voices Mordecai and Hi-Five Ghost, while William Salyers voices Rigby and Sam Marin voices Benson, Pops and Muscle Man. Mark Hamill voices Skips, Minty Lewis plays Eileen, and Jason Mantzoukas plays Mr. Ross. Cartoon Network Studios produced the film on a budget of about 3 million dollars, and it runs 69 minutes.

On IMDb the film holds a rating of 7.5 out of 10 from roughly 7,300 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 7.9 out of 10 from around 450 votes. Both figures point to a modest but clearly positive response. Among the director's feature work, this stands as his first, arriving after his years developing the series that inspired it.
