Why Did I Get Married Too?

Four couples travel to the Bahamas for the annual week they set aside to reconnect and take stock of their marriages. The trip is interrupted by Mike, the ex-husband of one of the women, who arrives intent on winning back his former wife even though she has remarried. His presence stirs up doubts among the other couples, who begin to examine the strains in their own relationships.

The film is a sequel, following the same group of friends introduced in the earlier story about the couples and their marriages. Tyler Perry directed and wrote the screenplay, and also appears among the cast as Terry. The ensemble includes Janet Jackson as Patricia, Jill Scott as Sheila, Sharon Leal as Dianne, Malik Yoba as Gavin and Richard T. Jones as Mike, with 32 credited cast members in total. It is the seventh of the 29 films Perry has directed, arriving after Madea Goes to Jail and before Madea's Big Happy Family.

Produced by Lions Gate Films and Tyler Perry Studios, the film cost about 20 million US dollars and took roughly 61 million US dollars worldwide. It runs 121 minutes. On IMDb it holds a rating of 4.8 from around 11,000 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 6.6 from a comparatively small number of votes.
