Marauders follows an FBI agent named Montgomery as he investigates a crew of highly organized bank robbers. The robberies are violent, and the stolen money is given away to charity rather than kept. As Montgomery and his colleagues Stockwell and Wells dig into the case, they find inconsistencies in the accounts given by the bank's owner, Hubert, and his wealthy clients. When another robbery is reported, the agents come to suspect a wider conspiracy that those involved would prefer to keep hidden.
The film was directed by Steven C. Miller, whose earlier credits include Silent Night and Extraction. It sits between those two and his later work, ahead of First Kill and Arsenal. Chris Sivertson and Michael Cody wrote the screenplay, and the cast is led by Christopher Meloni, Bruce Willis, and Dave Bautista, with Danny A. Abeckaser, Lydia Hull, and Tyler Jon Olson in supporting roles. It was produced by George Furla and Randall Emmett for a budget of about 15 million dollars.
Released in 2016, the film runs 107 minutes and blends action, crime and thriller elements across Canadian and American production. Its worldwide box office came to roughly 2 million dollars, well below its budget. On IMDb it holds a rating of 5.5 from around 25,000 votes, and on TMDB a rating of 5.8 from over 700 votes. A critics' score of 4.1 from 23 reviews places it below the audience ratings.
