Jazbaa

Jazbaa centers on Anuradha Verma, a prominent lawyer who has never lost a case and who is raising her young daughter on her own. After the child is abducted, the kidnapper sets a single condition for her release: Anuradha must defend a man accused of a brutal crime against a woman. Taking the case puts her in direct conflict with a powerful prosecutor, Mahesh Maklai, who has repeatedly faced her in court without success. As she works to secure an acquittal within a tight deadline, she must also confront the victim's grieving mother and the moral cost of what she is being asked to do.

The film was directed by Sanjay Gupta and written by Robin Bhatt and Sanjay Gupta, with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starring as Anuradha, Irrfan Khan appearing as Yohan, and Chandan Roy Sanyal as the accused man, Niyaaz Shaikh. White Feather Films produced the action thriller, which runs 119 minutes and was released in October 2015. It arrived between Gupta's Aatish and The Miranda Brothers.
