It's a Boy Girl Thing

It's a Boy Girl Thing follows Woody Deane and Nell Bedworth, two high school neighbors in Westdale Bay who could hardly be more different. Woody is a football quarterback focused on sports and a college athletic career, while Nell is a driven student with academic ambitions. Their long-running hostility comes to a head during a school trip to a museum, where a confrontation near an ancient Aztec statue leaves the two of them switched into each other's bodies. Each initially uses the situation to damage the other's reputation, but as they are forced to navigate the other's daily life, they gain a new understanding of each other and eventually cooperate.

The 2006 comedy was directed by Nick Hurran, his third feature after Undertaking Betty and Little Black Book. Geoff Deane wrote the screenplay, and the cast is led by Kevin Zegers as Woody and Samaire Armstrong as Nell, with Sherry Miller, Robert Joy, Sharon Osbourne and Maury Chaykin in supporting roles. The production brought together British, Canadian and American companies on a budget of 16 million US dollars, and it went on to take about 7 million worldwide, a modest return against its cost.
