The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let's Do the Time Warp Again

A newly engaged couple, Brad and Janet, are driving home when a storm and car trouble leave them stranded. They seek shelter in a nearby castle, where they meet the flamboyant scientist Dr. Frank-N-Furter and a household of eccentric characters. Over the course of one strange night, elaborate musical numbers lead up to the unveiling of the doctor's latest creation: a muscular man named Rocky. The story is a remake of the 1975 musical, with Richard O'Brien, who wrote the original, returning as screenwriter.

Kenny Ortega directed, placing the film between Descendants and Descendants 2 in a run of eleven features that began with Newsies and includes the High School Musical films, Hocus Pocus and This Is It. Laverne Cox plays Frank-N-Furter, with Victoria Justice and Ryan McCartan as Janet and Brad, and Annaleigh Ashford, Adam Lambert and Reeve Carney among the supporting cast. It was produced by John Ryan for television and runs 88 minutes.

Made for 20 million dollars, the film drew limited enthusiasm after its October 2016 release. Its rating of 4.2 from around 8,200 votes on IMDb and 5.1 from roughly 210 votes on TMDB indicate a largely negative response from the audiences who sought it out.
