Unthinkable

When the authorities learn that three nuclear devices have been planted somewhere in the United States, they capture the man who claims to know where they are. Steven Arthur Younger, an American who has embraced terrorism, is taken into custody, but he refuses to reveal the location of the bombs. FBI agent Helen Brody is assigned to question him and makes little progress, until Henry Humphries, a government interrogator known as H, is brought in and proves willing to use methods that Brody finds unacceptable. The film follows the conflict between the two agents over how far they should go to prevent the attacks, as the time left to find the weapons runs short.

Gregor Jordan directed the film, which he made after The Informers and which stands fifth among the features he has directed. Peter Woodward wrote the screenplay, and the cast is led by Samuel L. Jackson as Humphries, Carrie-Anne Moss as Brody, and Michael Sheen as Younger, with Stephen Root, Lora Kojovic and Martin Donovan in supporting roles. It was produced on a budget of about 15 million dollars by Sidney Kimmel Entertainment, Senator Entertainment, Lleju Productions and Kimmel International, and its worldwide box office take came to roughly 2 million dollars.

Released on May 26, 2010, the film runs 97 minutes and is a drama-thriller from the United States. On IMDb it holds a rating of 7 out of 10 from around 100,000 votes, and on TMDB a rating of 6.8 out of 10 from more than 1,500 votes, indicating that audiences who have seen it generally respond to it positively.
