Short description
Gordon Dunn, a celebrated scientist, has just unveiled his greatest achievement: a device that can extract, record and replay a person's memories. Shortly afterwards he is found dead, and his widow Carolyn withdraws into herself. A mysterious man named Sam Bloom appears, claiming to have been a friend of her husband, and takes possession of the machine. He uses it to investigate what happened to Dunn, a search that draws him into a tangle of secrets and hidden motives.
Mark Palansky directed and co-wrote the film with Mike Vukadinovich, following his 2007 debut Penelope. Peter Dinklage plays Sam Bloom, with Julia Ormond as Carolyn Dunn, Martin Donovan as Gordon Dunn, Anton Yelchin as Todd, Henry Ian Cusick as Lawton and Evelyne Brochu as Wendy. The Canadian-American production runs 111 minutes.
On IMDb, the film holds a rating of 6.1 from roughly 19,000 votes, and on TMDB it also sits at 6.1, from around 500 votes. A critics' rating of 4.8 from 20 reviews places it below both audience scores, indicating that general viewers responded somewhat more favourably than reviewers did.

- A luxurious modern house for filming was found thanks to a friend of one of the crew members. It had been used for filming before, and the rental was expensive. Director and screenwriter Marc Polanski feared that the allocated filming budget could not cover such expenses, but fortunately, the homeowner turned out to be a fan of the series "Game of Thrones" (2011-2019) and allowed the film crew to use the property if he and his family were introduced to Peter Dinklage (who played Tyrion Lannister in the series).
