Don't Kill It

A small Mississippi town becomes the hunting ground for an ancient demon that jumps from one body to the next, killing as it goes. Called in to track what looks like an ordinary serial murderer, FBI agent Evelyn Pierce finds no pattern in the deaths and little cooperation from frightened residents. Into her investigation steps Jebediah Woodley, a self-styled demon hunter who claims to have faced this creature before. Pierce doubts him at first, then comes to accept that the killer she is chasing has no flesh and blood of its own — it simply takes possession of whoever kills its current host, including, eventually, the people hunting it.

Mike Mendez directed the film, which followed his Big Ass Spider! and his segments and features for Tales of Halloween and Lavalantula. Robert Olsen and Dan Berk wrote the screenplay, and the cast is led by Dolph Lundgren as Jebediah, with Kristina Klebe as Pierce, alongside James Chalke, Billy Slaughter, Miles Doleac and Elissa Dowling; Lundgren also produced. Made for about four million dollars, it runs eighty-three minutes and mixes action with fantasy and horror.
