The Virginity Hit

The Virginity Hit follows four teenage friends in New Orleans, with Matt standing out as the only one in the group who has not yet lost his virginity. His friends Zack, Jacob and Justin take it upon themselves to help him, documenting his efforts with a camera and turning his attempts at romance into an ongoing online project. Matt has been dating Nicole for about two years, but when he learns she was unfaithful, the group's plans take a different direction, leading him through a series of encounters that range from awkward dates to an offer from the adult film world.

The film is a comedy shot in a mockumentary style, written and directed by Andrew Gurland and Huck Botko, who share both roles. For Gurland it followed his earlier feature Cheats, while for Botko it was his first directing credit ahead of Bad Johnson and Who Gets the Dog?. Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Peter Principato produced through Gary Sanchez Productions and Principato-Young Entertainment.

Matt Bennett leads the cast, joined by Zack Pearlman, Jacob Davich, Justin Kline, Krysta Rodriguez and Nicole Weaver. Made on a budget of around two million dollars, the film received low audience scores, sitting at 4.5 out of 10 on IMDb from roughly 4,100 votes and 4.4 out of 10 on TMDB from a much smaller number of ratings.
