Edgar Frog, one of the vampire-hunting Frog brothers, now lives alone in a trailer in San Cazador, California. A romance novelist named Gwen Lieber approaches him for help finding her younger brother, Peter, who she believes has been taken by vampires. Edgar's investigation leads him to a new drug called "The Thirst," made from a mix of Ecstasy and vampire blood, that is turning unsuspecting partygoers into undead creatures ahead of a rave under a blood moon. Unable to handle the threat alone, Edgar calls on his brother Alan, and the two take up their weapons again.
The film is the third in the Lost Boys series and was directed by Dario Piana from a screenplay by Hans Rodionoff and Evan Charnov. Corey Feldman and Jamison Newlander return as Edgar and Alan Frog, with Tanit Phoenix as Gwen, Casey B. Dolan as Zoe, and Sean Cameron Michael and Joe Vaz in supporting roles. It was produced by David Wicht, Basil Iwanyk and Phillip B. Goldfine for Thunder Road, Warner Premiere and other partners, and was made on a budget of about 4 million dollars.
The film runs 81 minutes and blends action, comedy and horror. On IMDb it holds a rating of 5 out of 10 from roughly 5,200 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 5.1 out of 10 from about 145 votes, indicating a modest reception from viewers on both platforms.
