24 Hours to Live

Travis Conrad is a professional assassin who is killed during a job in South Africa. An experimental medical procedure brings him back, but only for twenty-four hours, and a countdown on his arm marks the time he has left. Realizing his employers used him and intend to discard him, he turns against them, with the woman who shot him becoming an unlikely ally as he tries to make amends for his past.

The film stars Ethan Hawke as Travis, alongside Xu Qing, Paul Anderson, Rutger Hauer, Tyrone Keogh and Nathalie Boltt. It was directed by Brian Smrz, following his earlier Hero Wanted, from a screenplay by Ron Mita, Jim McClain and Zach Dean, and was produced by Basil Iwanyk, Mark Gao and Gregory Ouanhon. It is a co-production between China, the United States and South Africa.

Released in October 2017, the film runs ninety-four minutes and mixes action and thriller elements with a science-fiction premise. Its worldwide box office came to about six million dollars. Audiences are divided on it: on IMDb it holds 5.8 out of ten from around seventeen thousand votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6 out of ten from roughly seven hundred votes. A critics' rating of 5.2 out of ten from nineteen reviews places it below both audience scores.
