Antarctic Journal

A Korean expedition travels through the harsh environment of Antarctica to reach the Pole of Inaccessibility. During their journey, the team discovers a diary from a British expedition that traversed the same area eighty years earlier. As the explorers read the accounts, they notice unsettling similarities between the two groups. This discovery coincides with a series of strange events and psychological strain that threaten the mission and the safety of the crew.

Directed by Yim Pil-sung, this film was the first in a sequence of works that includes Hansel & Gretel, Doomsday Book, and Scarlet Innocence. The screenplay was written by Yim Pil-sung and Bong Joon-ho. The ensemble cast features Song Kang-ho, Yoo Ji-tae, Park Hee-soon, Yoon Je-moon, Choi Deok-moon, and Kang Hye-jung.
