Sajjan Singh Rangroot

Based on a true story, this war drama focuses on the Sikh Regiment within the British Indian Army during World War I. The plot follows Sajjan Singh, an officer serving on the Western Front against Germany. As he fights on the front lines, he struggles with the moral conflict of risking his life and the lives of his fellow soldiers for a colonial power that views them as inferior.

Directed by Pankaj Batra, this 2018 production is the second of three films he has directed, following Virsa and preceding Bambukat 2. Batra also co-wrote the screenplay with Gurpreet Singh Palheri. The film was produced by Viraat Films with a team including Bobby Bajaj, Jay Sahni, and Sona Sahni. The lead role of Sajjan Singh was played by Diljit Dosanjh, supported by a cast that includes Yograj Singh, Sunanda Sharma, Darren Tassell, Alex Reece, and Jagjeet Sandhu. The movie has a total runtime of 140 minutes.
