Naruto Shippuden the Movie: The Lost Tower

Naruto Uzumaki is sent after Mukade, a rogue ninja who has gone missing. The pursuit leads Naruto to the ruined city of Roran, where Mukade's real objective turns out to be a dormant source of power beneath the ruins. When he tries to seize it, a burst of light throws Naruto twenty years into the past. Stranded in an earlier era, he meets Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage, and finds that returning to his own time depends on the man who will one day be his father. A queen named Sara and the fate of Roran are caught up in the same conflict.

The film is the fourth Naruto Shippuden theatrical feature and the third directed by Masahiko Murata, following Mission: Protect the Waterfall Village! and The Will of Fire, with Blood Prison coming after it. Junki Takegami wrote the screenplay, and the voice cast is led by Junko Takeuchi as Naruto, Toshiyuki Morikawa as Minato, Chie Nakamura as Sakura, Satoshi Hino as Sai, Rikiya Koyama as Yamato and Kazuhiko Inoue as Kakashi. It runs 85 minutes and was released in Japan in July 2010, taking about 17 million dollars worldwide.

Audience scores are moderate and closely aligned: 6.8 out of 10 on IMDb from roughly 5,100 votes, and 7.2 out of 10 on TMDB from a much smaller pool of 523 votes.
