My Sailor, My Love

A retired sailor living on the Irish coast struggles to care for himself, leading his daughter to hire a housekeeper. Although the man initially resists her help, he eventually develops a romantic relationship with the woman. This new connection creates friction between the father and daughter, forcing them to confront old emotional wounds and secrets from the past while attempting to heal their strained bond.

The film was directed by Finnish filmmaker Klaus Härö and is the third project in a sequence of films including The Fencer and One Last Deal. The cast features James Cosmo, Brid Brennan, and Catherine Walker. Produced by Making Movies and Samson Films, the drama had a budget of 5 million USD.
