Maestro

Maestro is a drama about the marriage of conductor and composer Leonard Bernstein and actress Felicia Montealegre. The film follows their relationship across the decades, tracing how they met and built a life together while Bernstein's career carried him toward worldwide fame. Their bond endures through the demands of his work and the strains that come with it, and the story stays centered on the two of them rather than on the music alone. Bradley Cooper plays Bernstein and Carey Mulligan plays Felicia, with Matt Bomer, Vincenzo Amato, Greg Hildreth and Michael Urie among the supporting cast.

Cooper directed the film and wrote the screenplay with Josh Singer. It is his second feature as director, arriving five years after A Star Is Born and ahead of Is This Thing On? and an announced Ocean's prequel. Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese and Cooper produced it, and it was made for a budget of about 80 million dollars. The production involved 65 credited cast members and 198 credited crew.
