Golden Job

Golden Job follows a team of former mercenaries led by Lion who reunite for one last job. Their plan is to intercept a truck carrying medicine and deliver the supplies to a refugee camp in need. The operation goes wrong when the truck turns out to hold stolen gold instead, leaving the group to face the consequences of a double-cross by one of their own.

Released in September 2018 and running 100 minutes, Golden Job is a Hong Kong action, adventure and crime film directed by Chin Ka-Lok, who also appears in the cast as Calm. The screenplay was written by Susan Chan Suk-Yin, Heiward Mak Hei-Yan and Erica Li. Ekin Cheng Yee-Kin plays Lion, with Jordan Chan, Jerry Lamb Hiu-Fung, Michael Tse Tin-Wah and Eric Tsang among the principal cast, and Jackie Chan credited as producer.

The film is the second feature directed by Chin Ka-Lok, following his 2016 debut, and it brought together a group of actors long associated with Hong Kong action cinema. It earned about 47 million US dollars worldwide, a strong result relative to a Hong Kong production of its scale. On IMDb it holds 5.6 out of 10 from roughly 1,600 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6.2 out of 10 from around 99 votes, suggesting a slightly warmer response from that audience than from IMDb users.
