Short description
Three high school friends decide to raise their social standing by throwing a party while one of their parents is away. They spread the word and publicize the event, expecting a modest gathering. Instead, word travels far beyond their classmates, the house fills with uninvited guests, and the situation quickly grows beyond anything the hosts can manage.
Project X is a 2012 American comedy directed by Nima Nourizadeh, marking his first feature film; he went on to direct American Ultra in 2015. The screenplay is by Michael Bacall and Matt Drake, and Todd Phillips produced. Thomas Mann plays Thomas, with Oliver Cooper as Costa, Jonathan Daniel Brown as JB, Dax Flame as Dax, Kirby Bliss Blanton as Kirby, and Brady Hender as Everett. The production had a budget of 12 million USD and took in 103 million USD worldwide, a return that far exceeded its cost.
