Joseph of Nazareth

Set in Jerusalem during the brutal reign of King Herod, this drama follows Joseph, a skilled carpenter and descendant of King David. While the city suffers under Roman occupation and many people hope for the arrival of a Messiah, Joseph avoids the violent political struggles and the zealots' fight for freedom. After meeting a young woman named Maria, Joseph enters a marriage that leads to the birth of Jesus. He must then navigate his relationship with the child's divine origins and protect the infant from the soldiers of Herod.
