A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish

Kat Decker is an aspiring singer-songwriter whose ambitions are held back by her home life and her job. Her stepmother and stepsisters treat her as a servant in her own house, and she spends her days performing as a singing elf at a Christmas tree lot and Santa attraction owned by billionaire Terrence Wintergarden. At work she meets Nick, the charming man playing Santa, and the two grow close. When an invitation to a prestigious Wintergarden holiday gala arrives, her stepfamily schemes to keep her away and take her place.

The film is the fourth entry in the A Cinderella Story series and was released in October 2019, running 86 minutes. Michelle Johnston directed and wrote the screenplay, producing alongside Dylan Sellers; her earlier directing credits include A Cinderella Story: If the Shoe Fits and Blurt!, and she went on to direct A Cinderella Story: Starstruck. Laura Marano plays Kat, with Gregg Sulkin as Nick, Isabella Gómez as Isla, and Johannah Newmarch, Lillian Doucet-Roche and Chanelle Peloso as the stepmother and stepsisters. The production was a Canadian-American venture from Front Street Pictures, Blue Ribbon Content and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.

Audience response has been modest: on IMDb the film holds a rating of 5.3 from around 8,300 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 6.4 from roughly 736 votes, a warmer figure from a much smaller pool of viewers.
