A journalist named Roland Wolf visits the country estate of Christian Legagneur, a popular television game show host, under the premise of writing a biography. While Legagneur maintains a friendly public image, Wolf suspects a darker nature beneath the surface and believes the host may be linked to his sister's disappearance. As the visit progresses, Wolf uses the interviews to expose the truth about the host and the other residents of the house, including Legagneur's goddaughter. The encounter evolves into a psychological confrontation where both men hide their true intentions and identities.
