Point Blank

Samuel Pierret works as a nurse in a Paris hospital, and he and his pregnant wife Nadia are expecting their first child. Their life is upended when a patient named Hugo Sartet, a criminal wanted by the police, is brought in after a car crash. Sartet's associates abduct Nadia and give Samuel an ultimatum: he must get Sartet out of the hospital and away from police custody if he wants to see his wife alive. Samuel is then drawn into a flight through Paris alongside the man he helped, pursued by both the police and the criminal underworld, with only a limited time to act.

Point Blank is a French action crime thriller directed by Fred Cavayé, who wrote the screenplay with Guillaume Lemans. It is the second film he directed, following Anything for Her in 2008 and preceding The Players in 2012. Gilles Lellouche stars as Samuel, with Roschdy Zem as Sartet, Gérard Lanvin as Commander Patrick Werner, and Elena Anaya as Nadia. The cast also includes Mireille Perrier and Claire Pérot, among 36 credited cast members.

Made on a budget of about 16 million USD, the film took roughly 9 million USD at the worldwide box office. On IMDb it holds 6.8 out of 10 from around 15,000 votes, and on TMDB 6.6 out of 10 from 515 votes, while the film critics' rating stands at 7.4 out of 10 from 77 reviews, above both audience scores.
