Honey 2

Honey 2 is a dance film about Maria, a young woman who returns to her Bronx neighbourhood after trouble with the law and tries to build a new life. She has a gift for street dance and a strong desire to prove herself, but settling down means living with Connie, Honey's mother, and juggling work to get by. Nights out dancing remind her of the joy and energy she had lost. Her raw talent draws the attention of Brandon, who asks her to join his crew of self-taught dancers as they prepare for a television dance contest. At the same time her former boyfriend Luis, who leads a rival crew, tries to pull her back toward the streets she wants to leave behind. The film is directed by Bille Woodruff and follows the 2003 film Honey in his filmography, sitting between Bring It On: Fight to the Finish and Rags. Alyson Fouse and Blayne Weaver wrote the screenplay, and Paul Hellerman produced. Kat Graham plays Maria, with Randy Wayne as Brandon, Seychelle Gabriel, Audrina Patridge, Brittany Perry-Russell and Melissa Molinaro among the cast. On IMDb the film holds a rating of 5.2 from almost eight thousand votes, while on TMDB it stands at 6.3 from several hundred. A critics' rating of 3.7 from 21 reviews is noticeably lower than the audience scores on both sites.
