Tricia's husband Daniel vanished seven years ago, and she has spent that time refusing to accept that he is gone. When her younger sister Callie moves in, she pushes Tricia to have Daniel legally declared dead so she can move forward. Tricia begins sorting through his belongings and considering a new relationship, but she is troubled by nightmares and hallucinations. Meanwhile, Callie becomes fixated on a pedestrian tunnel near the house, and as she looks into it, she learns that other people in the area have disappeared as well. It becomes apparent that Daniel's presumed death may not have been natural, and that something connected to the tunnel may now be turning its attention toward the two sisters.
