Waiting...

Waiting... follows the staff of Shenaniganz, a chain restaurant where the waiters and cooks fill their shifts with pranks, games and petty revenge against demanding customers. Monty, a longtime waiter played by Ryan Reynolds, is content to drift along, while his colleague Dean, played by Justin Long, begins to see the job as a dead end after learning that a former classmate has built a successful corporate career. Into this group arrives Mitch, a new trainee who is shown the ropes and, along the way, the informal tactics the crew uses to get through the day. Anna Faris plays Serena, a fellow employee and Monty's ex-girlfriend.

The film was written and directed by Rob McKittrick, and it was his first feature as director. The cast also includes David Koechner, Luis Guzmán and Chi McBride, among roughly forty credited performers. Made for about 3 million dollars, it took in around 19 million worldwide, a strong return on a modest budget.

Audience response has been warmer than critical response. On IMDb it holds 6.7 out of 10 from about 112,000 votes, and on TMDB 6.2 out of 10 from roughly a thousand votes, while a critics' rating stands at 4.4 out of 10 from 92 reviews.
