Two lesbian actresses are cast as lovers in a Los Angeles stage production. Robin has been married to her partner for six years, while Lacie has avoided long-term commitments. As their director, Gabriel, uses rehearsals to foster intimacy between the performers, the two women develop a genuine physical and emotional attraction. They are forced to determine if their feelings are a result of the theatrical setting or a real romantic connection.
The 2004 romantic comedy was directed by Lee Friedlander and marks the first of four films he directed, followed by All for Love, A Royal Queens Christmas, and Groundswell. The screenplay was written by Friedlander alongside cast members Lacie Harmon and Robin Greenspan, who both play versions of themselves. The supporting cast includes Dom DeLuise, Mink Stole, Katherine Randolph, and Lauren Maher.
Produced by Goff-Kellam Productions with a budget of 1 million USD, the film has received mixed reactions from viewers. On IMDb, it holds a rating of 4.5/10 based on 931 votes, while on TMDB it has a higher score of 5.7/10 from 33 votes.
