Satya is a resident of a railway colony who aspires to play professional cricket for the national team of India. His life and career are disrupted when a local politician named Bhaskar interferes in his affairs. After twelve years, Satya has become a miserable alcoholic who continues to long for a former love named Nisha. During this time, he is married to Shravani, a woman who has been deeply in love with him since they were children. The story examines the intensity of the feelings held by both Satya and Shravani.

This Indian drama and romance was produced by Mumbai Film Company. It marks the first directing effort for Ritesh Deshmukh, who also produced the film alongside Genelia D'Souza.
