Short description
In the near future emotions have become a threat. Gabrielle decides to purify her DNA in a machine that will immerse her in her past lives and rid her of any strong feelings. But then she meets Louis, and although he seems dangerous, she feels a powerful connection to him as if she has known him forever.
What's left behind the scenes
- Director and screenwriter Bertrand Bonello began working on the script in 2017 with the intention of offering the leading roles to Gaspard Ulliel and Léa Seydoux, with whom he had already worked. The official announcement of the project’s commencement was made in January 2021, but filming had to be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic and moved to April 2022. Shortly after, the lead actor passed away, and filming had to be postponed again. In February 2022, Bonello stated that he wanted to cast a non-French actor in the role.
