Joss Whedon wanted to use Steadicams for filming, but due to time and budget constraints, he had to abandon the idea.
The film was shot in secret. It was only announced that principal photography had finished on October 23, 2011.
The film was shot in 12 days, while Joss Whedon was simultaneously working on the movie 'The Avengers' (2012).
Anthony Head was offered the role of Leonato, but he was forced to leave the project due to scheduling conflicts. Ultimately, the role went to Clark Gregg.
