Meeting Evil

John Felton is an ordinary suburban real estate agent whose life has gone sour. On a particularly bleak day, a stranger named Richie appears at his door asking for help with his car. What begins as a short errand turns into a violent journey, and John finds himself drawn into crimes he did not commit. When he returns home, Richie is already there, sitting beside John's wife, Joanie, and John must do whatever it takes to keep his family safe from the intruder.

The film is a crime thriller directed by Chris Fisher, who also wrote the screenplay, and it is the fourth feature he directed, following Dirty, S. Darko and Street Kings 2: Motor City. Luke Wilson plays John and Samuel L. Jackson plays Richie, with Leslie Bibb as Joanie, Peyton List as Tammy Strate, Muse Watson as Frank and Tracie Thoms as Latisha Rogers. Twenty-three cast members are credited.

Released in 2012 by Sony Pictures and Stage 6 Films, the film runs 89 minutes. On IMDb it holds a rating of 5.3 from about 13,000 votes, and on TMDB a rating of 5.3 from 225 votes. A critics' rating of 4 out of 10 from eight reviews places it below the audience scores, which are modest but somewhat higher.
