Wedding Crashers

John Beckwith and Jeremy Grey are divorce mediators whose shared pastime is slipping into strangers' weddings, where they pose as guests, enjoy the food and drink, and charm women before disappearing the next morning. Their usual method runs on strict rules and a clean exit. When they learn that a daughter of the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury is getting married, they set their sights on the event as their biggest score yet. At the reception John meets Claire, one of the Secretary's daughters, and finds himself genuinely drawn to her, while Jeremy pursues her sister Gloria. The deception becomes harder to keep up once the two men are invited to the family's private estate.

David Dobkin directed the film, his third feature after Clay Pigeons and Shanghai Knights and the fourth of seven titles he has directed. Steve Faber and Bob Fisher wrote the screenplay, and Peter Abrams, Robert L. Levy and Andrew Panay produced it for New Line Cinema, Avery Pix and Tapestry Films. Owen Wilson plays John and Vince Vaughn plays Jeremy, with Christopher Walken as Secretary Cleary, Rachel McAdams as Claire, Isla Fisher as Gloria and Jane Seymour as Kathleen Cleary. The film runs 119 minutes.

Made for about 40 million dollars, the comedy earned roughly 289 million worldwide, a strong return on its budget. On IMDb it holds a 7 out of 10 from around 396,000 votes, and on TMDB a 6.5 out of 10 from about 4,800 votes. A critics' rating of 6.9 out of 10 from 186 reviews places it slightly above the audience score on TMDB.
