Set in the summer of 1999, Of an Age centres on Kol, a seventeen-year-old Serbian Australian amateur ballroom dancer. When a friend's older brother, Adam, enters the picture, the two are drawn into an intense romance that unfolds over a single day. The brief encounter leaves Kol changed as he moves toward adulthood, caught between his immigrant family's expectations and his own feelings.
The film is an Australian production directed and written by Goran Stolevski, his second feature after You Won't Be Alone and followed by Housekeeping for Beginners. Elias Anton plays Kol opposite Thom Green as Adam, with Hattie Hook, Toby Derrick, Grace Graznak and Jessica Lu among the supporting cast. Kristina Ceyton and Samantha Jennings produced it through Causeway Films, and it runs 100 minutes.
On IMDb it holds a rating of 7.1 from roughly 5,300 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6.6 from a much smaller number of votes. A critics' rating of 7.9 from 74 reviews places it above the audience scores, indicating stronger approval among reviewers than among general viewers.
