Nina Conti: Her Master's Voice

Ventriloquist Nina Conti travels to Venthaven, a sanctuary for puppets belonging to deceased performers. She brings along the puppets of Ken Campbell, who was her former partner and teacher. During this journey, Conti interacts with the wooden and latex figures to examine her own identity and her past relationship with Campbell, a figure known for his unconventional approach to British theatre. The film blends documentary and mockumentary styles to serve as a requiem for her mentor.

Nina Conti wrote, produced, and directed the film, which marks the first of two directorial efforts listed in her career, followed by Sunlight in 2025. This production was a collaboration between the BBC and Nina Conti Production, filmed in the United Kingdom and the United States. The cast features Conti appearing as herself alongside Jim Broadbent, Bob Hoskins, Dan Horn, Brad Cummings, and Nacho Estrada.

The movie has a runtime of 64 minutes and is categorized as a comedy, drama, and documentary. On TMDB, it holds a rating of 7.5/10 based on 18 votes.
