Raquel and Ares have been together for a year, but much of it has been spent apart: Ares has moved to Stockholm for his studies, and the distance has left the relationship on uncertain ground. When summer arrives, the two reunite for a trip to the coast, hoping to recover what they had. Their time at the beach, however, brings them into contact with new people and stirs up old insecurities, testing whether the bond between them can hold.
The Spanish romantic drama is the second instalment in the trilogy adapted from the novels of Ariana Godoy, following Through My Window (2022), and it continues the story of the central couple. Marçal Forés returns as director, working from a screenplay by Eduard Sola and producing alongside Nostromo Pictures. Clara Galle and Julio Peña lead the cast, joined by Guillermo Lasheras, Natalia Azahara, Hugo Arbues and Eric Masip among 24 credited performers.
The film was released on 23 June 2023 and runs 110 minutes. Audiences rate it modestly, with a score of 5.2 on IMDb from around 9,600 votes and 6.6 on TMDB from just under a thousand, a pattern that suggests a devoted following for the series rather than broad acclaim. It sits between the first and third entries in the director's run of films based on these books.
