Mission: Cross follows Kang-mu, a man settled into life as a househusband while his wife Mi-seon works as a detective. She has no idea that her husband was once a secret agent, and he intends to keep it that way. When a former colleague asks for help tracking down another old comrade, Kang-mu is drawn back into the world he left behind. Mi-seon, noticing his strange behavior, begins to suspect an affair and starts following him, so the two end up circling the same dangerous situation from opposite sides, without either knowing the full truth about the other.
The film is a Korean action comedy directed by Lee Myung-hoon, who wrote the screenplay with Choi Young-lim; Kim Hyeong-seok produced it for Plus M Entertainment, Sanai Pictures and Obra Creative Inc. Hwang Jung-min plays Kang-mu and Yum Jung-ah plays Mi-seon, with Jeon Hye-jin, Jeong Man-sik, Kim Chan-hyung and Kim Joo-hun among the supporting cast. It runs 100 minutes and was released on August 8, 2024.
Audience responses differ: on IMDb it holds 6.1/10 from around 2,900 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 7/10 from roughly 171 votes. The smaller, more enthusiastic TMDB sample contrasts with the broader and more mixed IMDb showing, suggesting the film lands better with viewers who seek out Korean action comedies than with the wider audience.
