Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo

Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo is a 1999 American comedy directed by Mike Mitchell. Rob Schneider stars as Deuce, an aquarium cleaner whose life takes an unexpected turn after he damages the home of a professional male escort named Antoine, played by Oded Fehr. Faced with the cost of repairs, Deuce accepts an offer from T.J. Hicks, played by Eddie Griffin, to work as an escort himself. He soon finds himself meeting a series of unusual clients, falling for one of them, Kate, played by Arija Bareikis, while a police detective, William Forsythe's Chuck Fowler, keeps a close watch on his activities. Schneider co-wrote the screenplay with Harris Goldberg, and the film was produced by Barry Bernardi and Sidney Ganis.

The film was Mitchell's first directing credit, and he went on to make Surviving Christmas, Sky High, Shrek Forever After, Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water, Trolls, The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part and Kung Fu Panda 4. Made for 17 million dollars, it became a commercial success, earning around 93 million dollars worldwide.
