Aesthetics of a Bullet

Aesthetics of a Bullet is a Japanese crime action film about a minor criminal who makes a living selling rabbits. Constantly plagued by conflicts with the yakuza and loan sharks, he seeks a way to gain power and influence. To achieve his dream of becoming a successful underworld figure, he transitions into a career as a contract killer for the yakuza.

The film was directed by Sadao Nakajima, following his work on The Spying Sorceress and Shogun and His Mistress 2. It appears early in a sequence of several films released by Nakajima during the 1970s, including The Kyoto Connection. The screenplay was written by Tatsuo Nogami and produced by Kanji Amao. The cast features Tsunehiko Watase in the role of Kiyoshi Koike, appearing alongside Miki Sugimoto, Mitsuru Mori, Asao Koike, Ichiro Araki, and Tatsuo Endō.
