Pusher

Frank is a London drug dealer who owes a large sum to Milo, the supplier he answers to. A plan meant to clear the debt goes wrong, and Frank is left with a single week to find the money. As he looks for a way out, the people around him fall away and his situation closes in.

This British crime thriller is a remake of Nicolas Winding Refn's 1996 Danish film of the same name. Luis Prieto directed it from a screenplay by Matthew Read, with Rupert Preston, Felix Vossen and Christopher Simon producing for Vertigo Films and Embargo Films. Richard Coyle leads as Frank, alongside Bronson Webb, Agyness Deyn, Zlatko Burić, Paul Kaye and Mem Ferda.

Pusher was Prieto's first feature, followed later by Kidnap in 2017, Shattered in 2022 and Last Stop: Rocafort St. in 2024. Made for about 3 million dollars and running 86 minutes, it drew a 5.5 rating on IMDb from roughly 5,100 votes and a 5.3 on TMDB from about 120 votes. A critics' score of 5.4 from 48 reviews places it close to the audience figures.
