Maximum Conviction

Cross is a former special-operations agent who takes on what looks like a routine job: shutting down an old prison alongside his partner Manning. Part of the assignment involves receiving two women prisoners whose identities are kept secret. A mercenary team led by Chris Blake storms the facility soon after, intent on reaching the new arrivals. Once it becomes clear who the women really are, Cross finds himself drawn into a conflict much larger than the closing of a prison.

Steven Seagal stars as Cross and also produced, with Steve Austin as Manning. Keoni Waxman directed from a screenplay by Richard Beattie, and the supporting cast includes Michael Paré, Bren Foster, Aliyah O'Brien and Steph Song. It runs 98 minutes and was made for roughly 8 million dollars.

The film belongs to the busiest stretch of Waxman's directing career, sitting sixth among the fourteen features he has directed in chronological order, between Hunt to Kill and Force of Execution. It is a Canada–United States co-production from Voltage Pictures, Splendid Film and Steamroller Productions, released in October 2012.
