The Factory

The Factory is a crime thriller set in Buffalo, New York, where detective Mike Fletcher and his partner Kelsey Walker have spent years pursuing a serial killer who targets young women working the streets. The case becomes personal when Fletcher's teenage daughter disappears and he realizes the killer has taken her, apparently mistaking her for one of his usual victims. Abandoning standard police procedure, Fletcher pushes forward with any means available to find her in time.

John Cusack plays Fletcher, with Jennifer Carpenter as Kelsey Walker, Mae Whitman as Abby Fletcher and Dallas Roberts as Gary Gemeaux. Morgan O'Neill directed and wrote the screenplay with Paul Leyden, and the film was produced by Joel Silver, Susan Downey and David Gambino for StudioCanal, Silver Pictures and Dark Castle Entertainment, with a budget of 25 million USD. It runs 108 minutes.

The Factory was O'Neill's first feature as director, followed the next year by Drift. On TMDB it holds a rating of 5.6 out of 10 from 311 votes, indicating a modest audience response.
