When Kisha becomes possessed, Malcolm seeks help from a priest, a psychic, and ghost hunters to remove the spirit and save his relationship. This horror comedy serves as a spoof of found-footage and documentary-style films.

Wayans also stars as Malcolm, alongside Essence Atkins as Kisha, Nick Swardson as Chip the Psychic, Cedric the Entertainer as Father Williams, David Koechner as Dan the Security Man, and Alanna Ubach as Jenny.
Produced in the United States by companies including Endgame Entertainment and Wayans Bros. Entertainment, the film had a budget of 3 million USD and earned 60 million USD worldwide. What's left behind the scenes
- The film's release date (January 11, 2013) initially coincided with "Scary Movie 5" (2013), until the latter's date was moved to April 2013. Both of these films are parodies of "Paranormal Activity" (2007). Marlon Wayans, the actor and screenwriter of "A Haunted House" (2013), is also one of the creators of the "Scary Movie" franchise.
