Short description
Three kids and their Dad move from L.A to Edmonton. When they go shopping at West Edmonton Mall they find counterfeit cash. They inadvertently help catch the crooks, and later make a discovery about Santa

What's left behind the scenes

  • The film takes place in the West Edmonton Mall supermarket, where most of the filming also occurred from April 23 to June 8, 2007. It is the largest supermarket in all of North America and one of the largest in the world, covering an area of approximately 570,000 square meters, with its own water park, skating rink, cinema, golf course, and other entertainment areas.
  • The city's residents and other supermarket visitors were unaware of the film's shooting, and many were greatly surprised to notice that the Christmas decorations and ornaments remained in place for many days after the holidays had ended.
  • Leslie Nielsen was originally cast to play Police Inspector McLush, but he later withdrew from the project and was replaced by Tim Curry.
