Short description

Brad Kimble is a shy teenager who has long been infatuated with Brooke Kingsley, a girl who has barely noticed him. When she suddenly shows interest and invites him to spend the night with her, he sets off to buy condoms, only to find that nothing goes according to plan. What should be a quick errand turns into a long nocturnal journey across Los Angeles, full of detours and strange encounters. Meanwhile, his close friend Leah, who is secretly in love with him, sees the situation as her chance to win his heart.

Trojan War was directed by George Huang, whose credits follow in order Swimming with Sharks, this film, and Weekend in Taipei. It was written by Andy Burg and Scott Myers and produced by Charles Gordon, with a cast led by Will Friedle as Brad, Jennifer Love Hewitt as Leah, and Marley Shelton as Brooke, alongside Danny Masterson, Jason Marsden and Eric Balfour.

The film was released in 1997 and runs 85 minutes. Made for about 15 million dollars by Warner Bros. Pictures and Daybreak Pictures, it holds a rating of 5.7 out of 10 on IMDb from around 7,000 votes and 6 out of 10 on TMDB from roughly 148 votes. The larger IMDb sample and the smaller TMDB one point to modest, mixed audience responses rather than strong acclaim.
