Dead Like Me: Life After Death

Dead Like Me: Life After Death continues the story of a team of grim reapers whose job is to collect souls. Several years after the events of the television series, the group is adjusting to a new boss, Cameron Kane, a businessman with little regard for the rules that govern their work. Under his influence, the reapers begin to bend those rules, and George's friends are drawn into pursuits of money, success and fame. George herself crosses a different line, revealing who she really is to her living family, including her younger sister Reggie.

The film is a follow-up to the Dead Like Me series, which ran for two seasons, and it was released directly on video in 2009. Stephen Herek directed it, the fourteenth of the nineteen films he has directed, between Into the Blue 2: The Reef and The Great Gilly Hopkins. Stephen Godchaux and John Masius wrote the screenplay, and Ellen Muth, Jasmine Guy, Callum Blue, Sarah Wynter, Britt McKillip and Christine Willes are among the fifty-one credited cast members. The production, from Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, had a budget of five million dollars. On IMDb it holds a rating of 6 out of 10 from around fifteen thousand votes, and on TMDB it sits at 6.4 out of 10 from a few hundred votes, suggesting a modest but consistent response from viewers.
