Miami Rhapsody

Gwyn Marcus is a Miami advertising copywriter who has just accepted a proposal from her boyfriend Matt, yet she hesitates to commit. She has always measured love against her parents' apparently happy marriage, but as her sister Leslie prepares to marry and her brother is already settled, Gwyn begins to learn about infidelities running through her own family. Her mother, meanwhile, grows anxious that Gwyn is the last unmarried one left. Pulled between her career, her relatives' tangled love lives and her own doubts, she tries to work out what she actually wants.

Miami Rhapsody is a 1995 romantic comedy written and directed by David Frankel, who also produced it with Barry Jossen, and it was his first feature as director. The cast is led by Sarah Jessica Parker as Gwyn, with Gil Bellows as Matt, Antonio Banderas as Antonio, Mia Farrow as Nina and Paul Mazursky as Vic. Twenty-four performers are credited in all.

The film was released in January 1995 and runs 95 minutes. On IMDb it holds 5.4/10 from roughly 3,700 votes, and on TMDB 5.3/10 from a much smaller 61 votes. A critics' rating of 6.4/10 from 19 reviews places it above both audience scores. Frankel went on to direct The Devil Wears Prada, Marley & Me, The Big Year, Hope Springs, One Chance, Collateral Beauty and Jerry & Marge Go Large.
