Leprechaun 3

A pawnbroker in Las Vegas removes a medallion from a statue of a leprechaun, bringing the creature back to life. The leprechaun, played by Warwick Davis, is searching for a missing gold shilling, and he kills anyone who stands between him and his treasure. The coin passes into the hands of Scott, a young student on his way to Los Angeles, who stops in the city and tries his luck at gambling. Joined by a woman named Tammy, Scott discovers that the shilling can grant its holder's wishes, but that it also draws the leprechaun to whoever possesses it.

Brian Trenchard-Smith directed the film, his fourth in the thirteen features listed for him in chronological order, arriving between Night of the Demons 2 and Sahara. David DuBos wrote the screenplay, and Jeff Geoffray, Walter Josten and Henry Seggerman produced. John Gatins and Lee Armstrong play Scott and Tammy, with John DeMita, Michael Callan and Caroline Williams rounding out the main cast. It is the third entry in the Leprechaun series, following the earlier films about the same character.

The film was released in June 1995 and runs 94 minutes. It was made on a budget of one million dollars, a modest figure consistent with a direct-to-video genre release. On IMDb it holds a rating of 5.1 out of 10 from about 11,000 votes, and on TMDB a 5.8 out of 10 from 366 votes. A critics' rating of 3.4 out of 10 from six reviews places it well below the audience scores.
