Nick O'Bannon goes to a NASCAR race with his girlfriend Lori and their friends Hunt and Janet. While they are in the stands, Nick is overcome by a vision of a crash on the track that sends debris into the crowd, killing him and the others. He panics and persuades the group to leave the stadium, and moments later the accident happens exactly as he saw it. They believe they have escaped, but the survivors begin dying soon afterwards, and Nick realizes that death is still pursuing them.
