Charlie Brewster is a high school student who travels to Romania for a study-abroad program with his friend "Evil" Ed and his ex-girlfriend Amy. There he discovers that his attractive professor, Gerri Dandridge, is a vampire. Charlie tries to warn the people around him, but no one believes him, and his warnings put him in danger. Gerri turns Ed into a vampire, and Charlie approaches Peter Vincent, a well-known vampire hunter who happens to be in Romania filming an episode of his "Fright Night" show, for help before Gerri targets Amy for her blood.
This is a sequel to the 2011 Fright Night and is set in Romania rather than the United States. Eduardo Rodríguez directed the film, which is his third feature after Stash House and El Gringo, both released in 2012. Matt Venne wrote the screenplay, and Alison R. Rosenzweig and Michael J. Gaeta produced through Gaeta / Rosenzweig Films. Jaime Murray plays Gerri, with Will Payne as Charley, Sean Power as Peter Vincent, Sacha Parkinson as Amy and Chris Waller as Evil Ed. The film runs 100 minutes and was made for a budget of 8 million dollars.
The film has a modest reception. On IMDb it holds a rating of 4.3 out of 10 from roughly 7,900 votes, and on TMDB its rating is 5 out of 10 from 339 votes. The film was released on August 31, 2013.
