Grand Piano

Tom Selznick was once among the finest pianists of his generation, but a disastrous public performance left him unable to face an audience. After years away from the concert stage, he agrees to return for a prestigious event in Chicago, where he is expected to perform a notoriously difficult piece associated with his late mentor. Not long after he begins playing, he discovers a written threat on his score: a single wrong note will cost him his life. Unable to leave the piano or warn anyone openly, he must keep the performance going while trying to work out who is behind the threat and what that person wants.

Eugenio Mira directed the film from a screenplay by Damien Chazelle. Elijah Wood plays Tom, with John Cusack as Clem, Tamsin Egerton as Ashley, Allen Leech as Wayne, Kerry Bishé as Emma Selznick and Alex Winter as an assistant. The production was a British, Spanish and American co-production made by Nostromo Pictures, Atresmedia, The Solution and Telefónica Studios.
